Michael Carpenter
President- US Operations
For over thirty years, Mike has held international leadership positions with W.R. Grace and Emerson & Cuming Microwave Products. His experience has encompassed strategic global initiatives focused on growth, operational efficiency, and technical advancements. Mike is co-inventor of three patents relating to Lunenburg Lenses, isolators for inductive loop antennas, and Read-On-Metal RFID Tags. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University, and a Master of Management Science from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
Michael Plante
Vice President & New Business Development Group Leader
Mike joined ECMP in 2000, and has provided transformational leadership in sales & marketing for the past 10 years. More recently, Mike has taken on a new leadership role in forming a new business development group to identify new growth opportunities for the company. Mike has over 15 years experience in marketing of electronic materials. Prior to ECMP, he held a new business development marketing position for Texas Instruments and has 6 years experience working in R&D earlier in his career. Mike holds a BS in Chemistry from Worcester State University and an MS in Chemistry from SUNY Oswego. He has an MBA from Clark University. Mike is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School after having recently completed the requirements for their Executive Education General Management Program.
Dr. David Gibbs
Senior Scientist
Dave is responsible for the technical direction of the company, with the mission to maintain E&C’s leadership position in microwave materials. Prior to joining the company in 1997, Dave held international scientific and leadership roles at W.R. Grace. Dr. Gibbs has been Chairman of the Greater Boston Executive Program at MIT, and served as a Director of Boston Biomedical Research Institute. Dave has been the recipient of many awards and honorary memberships, and is inventor of numerous patents involving chemistry and material science. Dr. Gibbs holds a BS and a Sc. D in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MS from Purdue University.
Paul Dixon
Director of Technology
Paul is responsible for the electromagnetic modeling, testing and characterization of materials for ECMP, in addition to overseeing the Quality Department. Paul joined ECMP in 1986, serving as Senior Microwave Engineer and Technical Manager. He was co-founder of a microwave materials company prior to returning to ECMP in 1996. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics from Michigan State University, and a Master of Science in Microwave Engineering from The University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He has completed training in the Greater Boston Executive Program at the MIT Sloan School. He holds two patents in the area of RFID technology and has published several technical papers in the area of microwave materials.
Cynthia Manning
Director of Sales & Marketing-Americas
Cindy joined ECMP in 1996, holding positions as Sales Account Manager, Marketing Manager and Business Manager-Latin America. At ECMP she is responsible for the core business sales organization including the rep network, and overseeing the operations in Brazil. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Suffolk University, and is a graduate of the Greater Boston Executive Program at MIT/Sloan. Cindy is also an alumna of Harvard Business School after completing Module 5 of their Executive Education Program for Leadership Development.
