New Products

Emerson & Cuming Microwave Products creates materials with specific electromagnetic properties used for the control of RF/microwave energy.  Materials with custom properties can be used to cost effectively absorb, channel, reflect or enhance electromagnetic energy.

Standard products under the ECCOSORB
®, ECCOSTOCK®, ECCOSHIELD® and ECCOPAD® product lines have proven to be popular solutions in electromagnetic energy control.  Sometimes a material is needed which doesn't quite fit the standard product categories.  ECMP maintains a strong Research & Development lab with the ability to modify standard products or create new products to serve your needs.

High Power absorbers for antenna testing are now being researched and developed.  Materials such as silicon carbide foams with temperature handling up through 600F and higher are being evaluated for performance. If you have a need for materials to withstand high temperature and high power handling capabilites, please contact James DelPrete at jdelprete@eccosorb.com to discuss it further.

Low frequency Ultra-High permeability urethane absorbers are being researched for the 10 MHz to 3 GHz range.  These materials are ultra thin (.005" to .010") and can be supplied with a peel and stick adhesive (PSA).  If you have an application that may have a need for such a material please contact James DelPrete at jdelprete@eccosorb.com to discuss it further.

Flexible elastomeric dielectric ECCOSTOCK® DES K, - DES K is a tough, flexible silicone rubber sheet with dielectric constants ranging from 2 to 30 as thin as .020" (.51mm).  Though still under development this material can be supplied with a factory applied peel and stick adhesive (PSA) for easy attachment.  If you have an application that may have a need for such a material please contact James DelPrete at jdelprete@eccosorb.com to discuss it further.

Injection moldable materials Various grades of thermoplastics can be used to offer a variety of electrical and mechanical properties such as Polypropylene and Polyetherimide, both rigid thermoplastics and Flexible thermoplastic elastomers called (TPE).  There are still many other resins with specific characteristics that can be chosen based on what the mechanical or environmental requirements may be.  ECMP is currently evaluating materials for Magnetic absorbers (iron loaded), Dielectric materials (TiO2 loaded) and dielectric absorbers (carbon loaded).  If you have an application that may have a need for such a material please contact James DelPrete at jdelprete@eccosorb.com to discuss it further.
