ECCOSORB® 86B Tape (roll form) and SC-NNF (sheet form) are made of the same neoprene coated nylon fabric used to cover ECCOSORB® ANW. As such it meets MIL-C-20696E and is resistant to fuels, lubricants, and hydraulic fluids.
ECCOSORB® 86B Tape & SC-NNF are mainly used to reseal rips and tears in the weatherproofing cloth as well as reseal the exposed edges of ECCOSORB® ANW after being cut for a custom fit. The recommended adhesive for bonding the 86B Tape to ECCOSORB® ANW is ECCOSTOCK® 13-111-NF contact adhesive. This adhesive is a one part, general purpose, non-flammable neoprene adhesive that is solvent based. ECCOSTOCK® 13-111-NF provides good adhesion to urethane foams, wood, aluminum, rubber, galvanized steel, and most plastics.
A sheet version of the neoprene-coated fabric is also available. Called ECCOSORB® SC-NNF, this material is used for larger patches and can be bonded with the same ECCOSTOCK® 13-111-NF contact adhesive mentioned above.
