RFID isolator for UHF read on metal applications 860 MHz to 960 MHz Thin isolator material enables the reading of UHF RFID tags on metals or liquids .100" (2.54mm) -4°F to 176°F (-20°C to 80°C) In/Out

ECCOPAD® UHF is a line of isolator material which will enable UHF RFID tags to read on metal.  The key to operation is a patented design utilizing a layer with high magnetic permeability coupled with a low dielectric layer.  This unique dual layer design enables customization of the ECCOPAD® material to the RFID tag.

Unlike ECCOPAD® HF, ECCOPAD® UHF is not a universal isolator.  The electromagnetic properties of each RFID tag type differs in how it responds to metal therefore the ECCOPAD® design is different for every tag.  An isolator that works with one tag may not work with another.  Optimal performance, defined as maximum read range, will differ between tags.  Test results show that ECCOPAD® UHF works very well with the Trident tag design available from RSI ID Technologies.  We have developed three isolator types suitable for use with the Trident.  The types correspond to low read range (thin), medium read range (thicker) and maximum read range (thickest).
